heyheychat.com is run by Hertge VOF, a general partnership under Dutch law, President Kennedylaan 154, 2343 GV Oegstgeest, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce 88251918, VAT NL864554187B01. Questions go to info@hertge.com. Dutch law applies to these terms.

The service

You can open a chat room by putting a name after heyheychat.com. That needs no account and costs nothing. Nobody owns a room: the name is not reserved for you, anyone holding the link can come in, and the room resets after a day in which nobody was there. The service is offered as it is, without any warranty, and we may change it or stop it at any time.

Sponsored line

Under the message box a room can show one short line of text, never inside the conversation. When that line is an advertisement it is marked "Ad" and its link carries rel="nofollow sponsored". A plain pointer to one of our own chat sites carries no mark.

What you may not do

Do not use HeyHeyChat for anything unlawful, and do not post illegal content, threats, harassment, hate speech, spam, malware, material that infringes someone's rights, or anything that harms minors. We can remove messages, remove or ban people, and where the law calls for it, report to the authorities.

Moderation

The person who opens a room is its moderator and can delete messages and remove participants. On top of that there is an automatic word filter and limits on how fast and how repetitively someone can post. The operator can read rooms to handle abuse reports; the privacy statement says when and for how long.

Reporting

See something that should not be there? Use the report option on the message, or write to info@hertge.com. We look at reports as soon as we can and remove what needs removing.

Liability

HeyHeyChat is for conversation, not for storing anything. We try to keep it running but cannot promise that it is always available or that no message is ever lost. Since the service is free, our liability is limited as far as the law allows. None of this takes away rights you have as a consumer under Dutch law.
